Coca-Cola in Tel Aviv – Central Bottling Co. have installed a new PET line

CBC opted for Krones as a single-source supplier for the installation of a new 1.5 l PET line rated at 27,000 bph at the Israeli market leader Carbonated Soft Drinks.
The Contiform S20 has been designed for various bottle sizes from the CBC product range. In this line, however, it produces four different transparent and green shaped 1.5-l bottles. An AirCo air conveyor that covers 320 m and provides three minutes' buffer time transports the PET bottles fed in groups to the rinser-filler-closer-BLOC. Besides the rotary Variojet rinser and the Krones screw capper, the customer chose the well-proven volumetric filler Volumetic VODM with 104 filling valves. A Krones Contiflow MS 45/2 mixing line produces the beverages.  A Contiroll with two labelling stations, each provided with two reels and an automatic splicing unit, applies PP wrap-around labels without any downtimes during reel changeover.
Downstream the Contiroll, the bottle flow is divided onto two lanes, each leading to a Wrapapac WTS 60 wraparound packer with shrinking tunnel. These two machines have been designed for high speeds and handle 75 cartons or shrink trays per minute. The parallel operation of the two Wrapapacs allows for producing 8-bottle packs with one machine, while the other manufactures 6-bottle packs, without mixing them on the pallets. A Pressant PalBloc comprising an inline grouping station, a palletising module and an integrated pallet conveyor is applied at the dry end. The packs are grouped according to the inline principle so that the machines can be operated in the high output range. The inline grouping station comprises a total of four modules. Depending on the handling program involved, the line distributor can distribute the packs to one to four lanes.
