The CCU Brewery in Chile upsizes its filter cellar

CCU’s subsidiary, Cervecería CCU Chile, is at its facility in Santiago de Chile upgrading its filter cellar to incorporate a complete filtering line rated at 650 hl/h. For this project, it is installing a Steinecker Filter TFS-K for beer filtration with diatomite plus a Steinecker Filter TFS-S for beer stabilisation with PVPP. In addition, a complete automation and control package featuring Botec F1 is being integrated for the entire filter cellar. The upgrade also provides for delivery of double-seat valve racks for all filter lines and bright beer tank cellars.
The Steinecker TFS Twin Flow System – a flexible concept for field-proven precoating filtration - is based on a two-flow principle featuring part-flows for filtrate and unfiltrate, which can be adjusted independently of each other. To suit the composition and the production conditions of the particular beer types involved, different filtering aids are precoated at the optimum velocity. The TFS filter’s impressive flexibility in the filtration process results from the patented register-type construction, the bypass flow and the specially developed filter candles.
