When it comes to filling the various ready-to-drink products (RTDs) for the Asia-Pacific region, Independent Liquor Group, New Zealand, relies on Krones technology. Purple Goanna, KGB, Vodka Cruiser or Woodstock Bourbon and Vodka Mudshake are some of the brands that constitute the market leadership of the New Zealand beverage group.
Besides a filling line for non-returnable glass bottles, Krones is supplying another complete canning line rated at 70,000 cans per hour.
The Volumetic VOC can filler excels in terms of high filling accuracy, achieved by pre-dosing of the filling quantity in a dosing tank. This pre-dosing feature allows for high filling speeds – up to 120,000 cans per hour, depending on the filler size – as the filling process is not affected by product foaming or bubbling. Another advantage, besides the high output, is, among other things, the quick changeover of the system: product and can are changed in the control system and therefore, conversions at the filling valve are not required.
