Hygienic lid protection for beverage cans

For the very first time, there’s a Taxomatic labeller with enhanced technology for can lid foiling as hygienic protection now working in Brazil’s brewing industry. The hygiene seal used is a fully recyclable aluminium foil. Besides protecting the can closure from dirt, the can foil also scores in terms of its upmarket appearance. The printable foil offers a multitude of customisable options in support of marketing campaigns, e.g. topical references to ongoing sales promotions or upcoming events.
In a tunnel, first of all UV lamps eliminate up to 99.8 % of the micro-organisms located above the lid space. On the Taxomatic, the cans are passed via a worm into the infeed starwheel. Using a food-quality cold glue and a special centring bell, a sheet of foil is then placed on the lid, and in a separate carousel is gently pressed on and snugly moulded to the can’s shape.
The compactly dimensioned rotary Taxomatic is equipped with a fast and accurate height adjustment feature, controlled by an electric motor.  The Taxomatic for can lid labelling can be installed retrospectively in existing canning lines without any problems. Of course, this can lid protection is also an interesting solution for canners of soft drinks and non-alcoholic beverages for optimal hygienic protection of the closure.
