Labelling – for container-responsive flexibility

Innovative fruit-content beverages constitute a rapidly growing market for Casbega, Spain’s second-largest Coca-Cola licensee in Fuenlabrada (the Madrid region). to meet the ongoing demand for these products, which are marketed under the Minute Maid label, Casbega has installed a new PET-Asept L line, which enables products without preservatives to be bottled in PET containers in fully sterile conditions.
Downstream of the aseptic BLOC, Casbega has incorporated two labellers one after the other: a Starmodul with a Contiroll station for wrap-around labelling of Nestea and Aquarius, plus a Sleevematic Inline with steam tunnel for applying full-sleeves to the Minute Maid products.
Modularised design of the kind exemplified in the Starmodul excels in terms of maximised flexibility.
When changing over from one labelling process to another, the requisite stations are coupled to the machine; at a later juncture, a new labelling process can also be incorporated, without necessitating any investment in a second machine. Casbega uses a Contiroll station that handles reel-fed wrap-around labels.
The Sleevematic Inline is a compact-size inline machine for dressing containers in full or part-sleeves.
A dryer is provided both before the Starmodul and after the steam tunnel. One Checkmat inspection unit with camera monitors closure position and fill level, while another checks the labels.
