Beverage mixing – for stringent accuracy with and without alcohol

With a complete non-returnable PET line as a turnkey order from Krones, the Hellefors Brewery in Sweden has upsized its capacities in the continuously expanding PET segment for bottling cider, soft drinks, fruit squash and water.

Krones supplied the line together with the relevant process technology:

• a VarioClean CIP system-
• and a Contiflow 30/2 beverage mixer.

The high mixing ratio of product to water with cider is comfortably achieved by dimensioning the mixer for a higher output. An alcohol content meter has also been integrated for producing alcoholic cider. The Contiflow mixer, with its fast, stepless options for regulating the quantity being passed to the filler between 33 and 100 %, ensures generous flexibility in terms of controlling production quantities. With the integrated circulation line, which functions as a static mixer and smoothes out acceptance fluctuations at the filler, homogeneous mixing ratios in the product are achieved.
