Pressure curve recording for Contiform blowmoulding stations

For monitoring the blow-moulding process during PET bottle production and reducing the number of bottles rejected as defective at the blow-moulding stations, all Contiform stretch blow-moulding machines as from the series status of 01/2005 can be retrofitted with a pressure curve recording feature. The blow-moulding process becomes reconstructible for each blow-moulding station, thus enabling the individual phases involved (starting with pre-blowing) to be accurately adjusted and process deviations to be corrected. Faulty blowing valves are very easily identified and lengthy downtimes concomitantly avoided. Incorrectly blow-moulded bottles (e.g. due to substantial pressure fluctuations) are likewise very reliably identified and rejected. In addition, the pressure curve recording feature detects even tiny holes in the containers. So leaks in the bottling line are avoided, since defective bottles are rejected immediately after the blowing wheel.
