MBL operates three production facilities in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. In one of them, located in the Sahibabad district near the capital New Delhi, MBL has already gained some experience with a line for hot-filling from Krones. For a new plant in the same state, the company has now once again chosen Krones as its line supplier.
Another major Coca-Cola bottler has opted for ErgoBloc L technology from Krones. The Indian Coca-Cola licensee Moon Beverages Limited (MBL) has ordered a turnkey line featuring an ErgoBloc L wet-end block.

Coca-Cola license for the New Delhi conurbation
Moon Beverages holds the Coca-Cola license for the New Delhi conurbation where small bottles for on-the-go consumption are particularly popular. These 250-millilitre PET containers will be included in the range handled by the new ErgoBloc.
The new line is used to fill Coca-Cola’s complete product range and handles not only the small on-the-go containers but also a broad spectrum of bottle formats, from 250 millilitres to 2.25 litres. Line output varies depending on the bottle size: 60,000 containers per hour for the 250-millilitre format and 48,000 bottles an hour for the 600-millilitre size.
