Krones Inc. Bolsters Integration Division, Names Two to New Posts

Krones Inc., a subsidiary of Krones AG, a world leader in the manufacture of packaging and bottling systems, today announced customer and sales-focused enhancements in its Integration Division. The division is dedicated to the comprehensive, strategic integration of single machines and complete lines, along with control technology and IT/manufacturing execution systems (MES) – from project analysis to execution – for customers in the packaging, and food and beverage industries. It is an outgrowth of Krones’ extensive experience integrating both brown and greenfield packaging and processing plants.

Callahan tapped for Integration Division leadership

Krones said that Michael Callahan had been named to the new position of vice president, Integration Group, responsible for developing integration business within the division’s target markets. Callahan, most recently vice president, sales, Central Division, had previously served as division manager in the Filling/Cleaning and Inspection Technologies Division at Krones. Callahan is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana, and has more than 25 years of experience in the sale of turnkey integration lines, inspection equipment and filling technologies, controls, and coding equipment to the packaging industry. His international management experience includes Europe, South America and the Far East.

Timothy Raymond, Krones Inc. executive vice president, sales and marketing, said, “We are pleased to be able to respond to our customers’ need for broad-based integration experience with a proven history of integration success, and to have a person of Mike Callahan’s caliber to guide them. His knowledge and expertise have earned customer confidence and established him as the go-to person for complex projects.”

Jenkins to head Central Division sales

Krones also announced that Jerl Jenkins, formerly regional sales manager, Central Division, had been promoted to Callahan’s former position as vice president, sales, Central Division. Jenkins will be responsible for sales and regional sales managers in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, North and South Dakota, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. Jenkins had previously held executive positions in operations and engineering within the industry. He holds a B.S. degree in food science and food technology from Texas Tech University

Raymond went on to say, “Jerl’s background in operations and engineering, as well as his dedication to assessing and meeting customers’ needs makes him ideally suited for his new position. We’re very confident that this experience and his unique strengths will ensure a seamless transition for our Central Division customers, and will earn an even greater base of business for Krones.”
