The Nigerian Mamuda Group saw the demand for non-alcoholic beverages and decided to go into carbonated and energy drinks and bottled water. For this, Mamuda chose Krones as its partner and in February 2020 placed a turnkey order for two PET lines, each rated at 45,000 bottles per hour.

In addition to the two identical lines (more on this in the box), Krones also supplied the syrup room, all the utilities, including a CO2 generator and a Hydronomic water treatment system with units for ultrafiltration and ozonising.

    About Mamuda

In the north of Nigeria lies the city of Kano, the country’s second largest city. There is something like a city within the city: the mammoth production site of the Mamuda Group. The company grew to its impressive size with tanneries and leather-processing plants. Then it diversified into the manufacture of sacks and mats for industrial and agricultural applications and into energy generation and food production. The newly established Mamuda Beverage Nigeria Limited is the fifth business unit and comprises the beverage production activities.
