Impatience is usually a bad adviser, so a German saying tells us. But in this case it pays. The Contiform AseptBloc produces containers under sterile conditions ready for aseptic filling. But unlike other lines, it sterilises the PET containers long before they were made. How is it done? With a simple but effective trick: Rather than wait to sterilise the finished bottles, the Contiform AseptBloc gets to work already on their preforms. Directly after the preforms are heated, they are sent into the sterile zone for treatment with gaseous hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). But what‘s really clever is: Preforms are more even and smaller than bottles. Which means that they need far less time, energy and sterilisation medium for their treatment. From here the journey continues just as germ-free as it began.The stretch blow moulding, filling and capping are all performed in a hermetically sealed sterile zone without any grey zones or hygiene leaks, making sure that your products are well accommodated.

Seamless sterile process chain

The Contiform AseptBloc looks after sensitive products from start to finish: As soon as the preforms leave the oven they enter a hermetically sealed sterile zone – and leave it again as finish-blown, aseptically filled and capped bottles.

Rugged system

The Contiform AseptBloc achieves high output rates with a simple basic layout: It does without any additional peripheral equipment such as a hygiene centre or sterile water UHT system, and uses a single controller for all the aseptic processes. This makes the system easy to service and immune to malfunctions.

No water consumption

During production, the entire system consumes not a single drop of liquid. This lowers the overall water consumption while simultaneously raising the level of microbiological safety – in strict compliance with the principle No water, no life.

Environment-friendly medium

For sterilisation purposes the Contiform AseptBloc uses only gaseous hydrogen peroxide – a natural compound which disintegrates into water and oxygen without further residues.

Minimum consumption of medium

The Contiform AseptBloc does not sterilise finish-blown bottles but their PET preforms. And because the preforms are much smaller and more evenly shaped, they can be cleaned more easily and with a far lower input of medium than in comparable systems.

Material savings through lightweighting

Unlike with bottles, the sterilising of preforms causes no shrinkage. This means that even extremely lightweight PET containers can be processed without difficulty on the Contiform AseptBloc.

Gentler and faster

Using a gaseous sterilising medium in small quantities results in very short process times – with no harmful condensation and minimum residue values.

Production to the exact number of bottles

The Contiform AseptBloc calculates exactly the number of PET containers and caps still required. This ensures that it sterilises only as many preforms and caps as it actually processes.
