Through a fundraising campaign, staff at Krones Southern Africa are supporting students at the nearby St Ansgar’s High School.
The legacy of an outstanding figure: In 2009, on the initiative of the UN, 18 July was declared International Nelson Mandela Day. Since then, this day has served as an annual reminder of the life and work of the Nobel Peace Prize laureate, particularly his commitment to community, equality and human dignity.
To celebrate this year’s Mandela Day in the spirit of its namesake, colleagues at Krones South Africa sponsored cosmetic care packages, and as part of this, the 153 students at the nearby St Ansgar’s High School each received a drawstring bag filled with toiletries and hygiene products. From the thoughtful selection of products and the packing of the bags right through to the personal handover on 24 July: The initiative brought just as much joy to the team at Krones Southern Africa as it did to the young people who received the gifts.
