Handling information responsibly is essential for companies like Krones. And that is why we have established a continuous process for systematically improving information security within the group. The Information Security Management System (ISMS) includes regular penetration and vulnerability testing as well as continuously updated risk analyses and annual audits. In addition, a group-wide whistleblowing system serves as an important means to identify and promptly counteract potential security risks on an ongoing basis.
To objectively verify the effectiveness of our ISMS, we rely on the internationally recognized standard ISO 27001, which we’ve been gradually rolling out to more and more members of the Krones Group. The most recent example is the Dubai-based company Krones Middle East Africa (MEA) FZCO. Following an audit conducted by TÜV SÜD, we are proud to announce that they are now officially part of the family of ISO 27001-certified companies, which includes not only all Krones AG locations in Germany and Steinecker GmbH but also our subsidiaries in Bangalore (India), Bangkok (Thailand), São Paulo (Brazil), and Franklin, Wisconsin (USA).
Thumbs up on the successful certification: Markus Giese of TÜV SÜD with Josephine Mung’ala, Meliha Herenda and Sofia Fohringer of Krones (from left to right).
