The Krones cycling bottle wins the A’Design Award 2016

Krones is building a state-of-the-art, resource-saving brewery in Bayreuth for the exclusive production of Bayreuther Hell, with an annual capacity of 500,000 hectolitres.

Krones is celebrating a special milestone: the 1,000th Sleevematic is being assembled at the Neutraubling plant and is set to be brought online at Acqua Sant’Anna in fall 2025, showcasing impressive performance and sustainability.

In addition to beverages in classic PET bottles, the Greek bottler Epirotic has recently started processing stylishly designed cans and glass bottles on two other Krones lines.

Sustainable and efficient: Under the group’s replacement programme, Krones Lifecycle Service (LCS) directly replaces defective assemblies or those in need of overhaul with existing, fully reconditioned components.

At the last drinktec trade fair, Krones presented for the first time a new 360-degree closure inspection module for its Checkmat series. At the time, it was designed exclusively for tethered caps. The technology has since been developed further and as of this year is now capable of processing all other plastic closures as well as aluminium roll-on caps and crowns. 

Precut labels with cold or hot glue, reel-fed pressure-sensitive and wrap-around labels – The Ergomodul is especially well-known for its flexibility. That is because this modularised labeller can be equipped to handle the entire range of labelling options, to suit every beverage producer’s individual brand image.

There are a number of methods for producing non-alcoholic beer, which essentially fall into two categories: either the beer is prevented from producing alcohol in the first place or alcohol is removed from finished beer after fermentation.

Seven years ago, Krones premiered the Modulfill Bloc FS-C. This block solution for cans fills and seams up to 135,000 cans per hour and can handle beer, CSDs, water and sensitive beverages.
