Attractive rewards

Krones has agreed an acknowledged pay scale with the Bavarian IG Metall trade union. In addition to a purely job-related salary, Krones also pays a large number of voluntary corporate fringe benefits – such as extra payments in the event of employee illness or an ability to have a share in the company’s success.

Krones has also taken out corporate and private travel health insurance for all of its employees.

Work-Life-Balance

Reconciling one’s professional and private life is currently one of the fundamental challenges faced by every employee. It goes without saying that Krones does all it can to ensure that its employees can pursue their private interests outside of their job. As regards childcare, there is also, for instance, a daycare facility for children between the ages for four months and six years right next to the Neutraubling plant.

To allow employees to structure their own time with even greater freedom and flexibility, each employee has the option of applying for a sabbatical of between one and six months. Krones also grants special holidays, for example, for weddings, moving house or the birth of a child.

Flexible working environment

Flexible working hours apply in many departments and at all Krones locations. This means that employees are free to decide themselves when they start and finish working – and the well-deserved leisure time can be ideally arranged to go hand-in-hand with the job.

Some jobs also allow mobile working. The necessary conditions are provided by a modern IT environment and digital communication options which allow many jobs to be performed virtually.

Focus on health

Safety during day-to-day work, a corporate health insurance provider or welfare advice: at Krones, the employees have a myriad of options for preserving and improving their health in the long term.

One of the key components for a healthy work environment is our corporate health management scheme. Its core elements are the protection and promotion of health. Here, Krones not only scrutinises working conditions and the work environment but collaborates with the Krones health insurance provider to additionally offer fitness and relaxation courses which provide a counterbalance to working life.

Focus on development

With its management, specialist or project careers, Krones has three development routes which define the career paths within the company.  However, it is not imperative to follow these official career paths. Each individual employee can develop themselves further within their profession by taking on responsibility, showing commitment and looking beyond their horizons. It is exactly this kind of personal initiative that Krones supports with participation in specialist instruction courses or interdisciplinary training measures.

Krones keeps it in the family

Whether it be football, tennis or ice hockey: The numerous Krones company sport groups are the best proof of a special camaraderie which runs through the entire company. For even though the athletes may have won many a legendary victory – the title and successes do not take centre stage. In their free time they simply continue doing the same thing that characterises their working day: having fun supporting one another and setting up something great as a team.

To strengthen this sense of community even more, Krones invites its employees once a year to a company party in each of its plants. Here, work fades into the background and the Krones family is brought even closer together through celebration in a relaxed atmosphere.

An eye to the future

Even if retirement is very far away for many people: Krones is already ensuring today that its employees will be well taken care of in their retirement years. As part of its corporate pension scheme, Krones invests money each month in the pension pot for each individual employee. This contribution can then also be topped up voluntarily by each wage earner. And this commitment is worthwhile as Krones then rewards the employee’s decision to make a voluntary payment by adding to it yet another pension contribution of its own – true to the motto: all good things come in threes.
