New logistics center for Krones Inc.

Behind the new Logistics Center lies a centralized and highly automated facility designed to support customers throughout North America. The new center consolidates the company’s extensive logistics operations into a single, purpose-built location, approximately two miles (editor’s note: 3.2 kilometers) from the main facility in Franklin.  

Through this investment, customers will benefit from a streamlined process, better product availability, faster delivery (including next-day options), and improved support to keep their operations running efficiently. Krones is also realizing benefits from this consolidation and logistics expansion, including sustainable cost reductions driven by increased automation, enhanced inventory accuracy, and lower quality-related expenses. 

Up to 50,000 stock keeping units  

The 240,000-square-foot facility (editor’s note: 22,300 square meters) is anchored by a state-of-the-art picking and order fulfillment system engineered to enhance speed, accuracy, and overall service performance. With the capability to manage up to 50,000 individual stock-keeping units (SKUs) representing millions of parts, the new unit will work to help improve part availability, accelerate deliveries, and reduce overall throughput time.

More space for the main campus

In addition to the primary benefits of improved service quality and faster deliveries, the new Logistics Center also frees up valuable space on the Krones Inc. campus for expanded manufacturing and future growth. Its official opening took place on June 3rd and represents a meaningful evolution on behalf of our customers, reinforcing Krones’ role as a trusted partner.
