Two of PepsiCo’s three production sites in Turkey are now running can fillers from Krones that are capable of handling not only standard cans but also the slim and sleek models – offering maximum flexibility.
PepsiCo is introducing slim and sleek cans to its beverage portfolio in the Turkish market. This important project required new filling equipment, and PepsiCo Turkey chose filling technology from Krones for the job.

The filling portfolio includes Pepsi Cola’s range of CSDs, Lipton Iced Tea, Team, and Tropicana juice as well as the national brand Fruko Gazoz, in 200 and 250-milliliter slim and 330-milliliter sleek cans. The line also has the optional capability to handle 150-milliliter slim cans.
The layout is necessarily very compact but nevertheless offers excellent accessibility for operating and maintenance personnel. The new can fillers were seamlessly integrated into the existing lines. The local service team from Krones Makina, Turkey, was responsible for installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing and worked closely with Krones project management. The excellent reputation of Krones Makina’s local service setup and the outstanding quality of Krones technology were key selling points for PepsiCo Turkey’s decision.
The Krones Academy provided a combined training for both sites so that all operating personnel are well-versed in the new technology.
